SEMINAR EXPERIENCE
During the beginning of the Fall 2022 school year, a group of students and I had the opportunity to create a design vignette at Scheels Home & Hardware. Prior to the build out, we created a design concept board and also ordered a few items to support our vignette within a certain budget. My partners and I were given the Rustic/Industrial theme in which we had four hours to design our vignette using the items we had ordered and any items we were able to find in the store. This was such a fun experience and I am glad I could be a part of it!

DESIGN CHALLENGE

In addition to taking part in the Scheels Design Challenge, I also had the opportunity to assist in the design development of a lobby refresh for the Challey Institute at NDSU. The previous lobby design was very outdated and lacked school representation. Our goal was to update the space to better represent both NDSU and the values of the Challey Institute while concurrently making the space more functional. Even though this was a small, preliminary project, this design experience was very beneficial to my learning and gave me a glimpse into what my future will look like once I work with more clients in the future.
